The Shayamoya Tiger Fishing and Game Lodge is ideal for anyone who prefers the sound of the wild to the blowing of Vuvuzelas but soccer fans who want to experience the African wild, between host cities Johannesburg and Durban, are most welcome.
The lodge is ideal for anglers. Tiger fishing season begins in August, with spawning season in September. There are guided and unguided boat trips from the lodge.
The Pongolo Nature Reserve is situated near the lodge and the area is home to no less than 340 bird species, including the peregrine falcon and pygmy goose.
The Shayamoya Tiger Fishing and Game Lodge is also ideal for families with children and offers educational game drives and hikes for the youngsters. There are baby sitters at the lodge.
Visitors over 12 years of age can also book guided rhino walks.
