ITINERARY Day 1: Cape Town On arrival at the airport you will be welcomed by our local representative, who hand over your welcome pack including vouchers and route descriptions. Collect your rental car and check into a cosy guesthouse situated in the heart of Cape Town. Day 2: Table Mountain Table Mountain is the icon of Cape Town. Today you can take the cable car up (weather permitting) or if you are up to it, you can also climb to the top. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the V&A Waterfront. Dinner can be booked for you there in one of the many top restaurants or at an African themed restaurant in the city centre where you could get your first taste of local specialties.
Day 3: Peninsula Tour Today you tour the Cape Peninsula. Start in the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay where you can take a boat trip to Duiker Island inhabited by countless fur seals. Next stop is Boulder’s Beach near Simon’s Town where you can watch the African penguin colony. Finally you drive to Cape Point, the most south-westerly tip of Africa and an excellent spot for hiking. Dinner at an award winning restaurant on a Constantia wine farm.
Day 4: Hermanus/West Coast Head to the seaside town Hermanus for the day and have lunch at a restaurant situated in a cave. Watch the whales* frolicking in the ocean while you enjoy internationally awarded cuisine. Alternatively you can drive up the West Coast to dine at one of the best seafood restaurants in the country.
Day 5: More Cape highlights Today you can visit three of Cape Towns “Big 6”: the botanical gardens of Kirstenbosch, Robben Island and you can end the day at the V&A Waterfront that offers a wide variety of cuisines. Please book a trip to Robben Island well in advance to avoid disappointment, we can also make these arrangements for you.
Day 6: Winelands Today you head for the Cape Winelands. Taste wine at the finest estates and let us arrange a picnic lunch at a picturesque wine Estate. Have dinner at a famous restaurant in Stellenbosch that offers an all African dining experience under the stars, complete with dance and music. Overnight Stellenbosch.
Day 7: Winelands Spend the day around the historic Winelands towns of Paarl and Franschhoek. We can arrange bicycle and horse riding trips through the vineyards for you. End the day by having dinner in one of the finest restaurants in Franschhoek, two of which are rated among the finest in the country.
Day 8: Cape Town After some last minute shopping and dining, your tour ends. Time has come to return your car at the airport. If you want to extend your holiday or combine your trip with any of our other tours, we will gladly assist you.
