ITINERARY Day 1: Johannesburg – Private Game Reserve On the first morning of your stay, you head to Pongola in northern KwaZulu-Natal where you will stay at a private game reserve. Dinner included.
Day 2: Pongola On offer today will be a horseback safari, game drive or bush walk. Afterwards you can relax at the pool terrace with marvelous views of the reserve. All meals included.
Day 3: Drakensberg Mountains Head for the foothills of the so-called Giants Castle in the Drakensberg Mountains and spend a night at a farm style mountain retreat that is famous for its excellent food. Dinner included.
Day 4: Free State Off to the Free State where just outside Bloemfontein you will find your country estate accommodation, renowned for its candlelight gourmet dinners (included).
Day 5: Karoo Situated in the heart of the Karoo, your gourmet guesthouse in Graaff-Reinet allows you to visit the Valley of Desolation with its breath taking vistas. Overnight in this beautiful guesthouse.
Day 6 & 7: Addo Elephant National Park Your next stop is a Country House that lies tucked away on a peaceful citrus farm, situated on the doorstep of the Addo Elephant National Park. The area is not only fabled for its abundance of gentle giants but also a wide variety of plant and other animal species. You can explore “Addo” by own vehicle or book a 4x4 game drive.
Day 8: Tsitsikamma Today you get time to explore the beautiful Garden Route. Visit the Tsitsikamma National Forest before you head to your Cape Dutch-styled lodge in Plettenberg Bay that specialises in seafood and game.
Day 9: Garden Route Spend a relaxing day on the pristine beaches around Plettenberg Bay, or head for Knysna, world renowned for its oysters. Here you can also book a boat ride over the lagoon.
Day 10: Cape Agulhas Today you will travel down to the southern most tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas - where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. Here you can enjoy a hike or stroll over the beach. Overnight in a luxurious country lodge with stunning ocean views.
Day 11: Winelands Head for the Winelands and spend a couple of days sampling the different wines produced in Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. The towns of Paarl and Franschhoek are also well worth a visit.
Day 12: Winelands Today you get more time to explore this wonderful region with many culinary highlights and attractions such as the Afrikaans Language Monument, the Huguenot Memorial and many great walking trails.
Day 13 , 14, 15: Cape Town The grand finale of your trip is in Cape Town and it leaves you spoilt with things to do. The “Big 6” are always recommended: the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Constantia vineyards, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Cape Point.
