The Cape Town Carnival has rapidly grown into one of the major events on the calendar for the Mother City. Colourful floats and literally thousands of participants parade through the city center in an abundant procession full of music, dance and above all very happy faces. Young and old share in the fun, celebrating the rich history and cultural diversity that makes Cape Town. If you want to come watch the parade on Long Street, come early and enjoy the pre-parade show.
