ITINERARY
Day 1: arrival in Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town. You may choose to either drive yourselves or have a transfer to your guest house and have your car delivered later in order to avoid the stress of rush hour driving after a long flight on the first day of your holiday.

Day 2 & 3: Cape Town
Explore Cape Town and the peninsula. The possibilities are near endless in what is arguably the most beautiful city in the world. You might swim with a penguin, stargaze at the planetarium, take a helicopter flip to Cape Point or climb Lion's Head by the light of a full moon.

Day 4: Swellendam
Drive to the quaint town of Swellendam where you can visit the Drostdy Museum or Bontebok National Park. The village is in an agricultural centre beneath the Langeberg mountains with many well-preserved historic buildings. Overnight.

Day 5: Knysna
Today you drive to Knysna, a popular holiday town in the Garden Route. Here you can take a relaxing boat trip over the lagoon.

Day 6: Knysna
There are large areas of indigenous forests around Knysna and the town itself lies on the Knysna Lagoon - a renowned site for water sports. The area is also famous for its oysters. Overnight in or near the holiday town.

Day 7: Oyster Bay
Today you drive to your accommodation near the delightful coastal hamlet of Oyster Bay.

Day 8: Oyster Bay
Today you get a chance to explore the coastal reserve and private beach on horseback. An experienced guide will join you on your ride through the dunes and fynbos. The more experienced rider can have a breathtaking gallop alongside the waves of the Indian Ocean. Deep sea fishing can be booked from a catamaran on the Indian Ocean. There are four hiking trails in the reserve. Overnight

Day 9: drive to Addo
Today you take the scenic drive to the renowned Addo Elephant National Park that boasts the “big seven”: elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, southern right whale and great white shark!

Day 10: Addo Elephant National Park
You have the option to book game drives in Addo National Park or some of the private game reserves in the area. The original Elephant section of Addo National Park was proclaimed in 1931, when only eleven elephants remained in the area - today this finely tuned ecosystem is sanctuary to over 450 elephants, Cape buffalo, black rhino, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo.

Day 11: drive to Natures Valley/ Plettenberg Bay
Today you drive to the aptly named Nature’s Valley, the only residential area within the Tsitsikamma National Park. Overnight in this idyllic area.

Day 12: Nature’s Valley
Lots of activities are possible in and around this special setting;  hiking, golf, polo, horse riding, bungee jumping, black water tubing, scenic flights, mountain biking, boating, fishing and in season there is whale and dolphin watching.

Day 13: Drive to Oudsthoorn
Today you take the scenic route to Oudtshoorn, also known as “Ostrich City”

Day 14: Oudtshoorn
See the world famous Cango Caves (these are the spectacular underground wonder of the Klein Karoo, situated in a limestone ridge parallel to the Swartberg Mountains, where you will find the finest dripstone caverns, with their vast halls and towering formations), visit The Hell (and come back), visit a working ostrich farm, star gaze under the wide Karoo skies or maybe swim in a waterfall at “Rust en Vrede” which translates in “Unwind & Peace”.

Day 15: Route 62
Today you travel along the magnificent Route 62, which advertises itself as the longest wine route in the world. Drive to Montagu, a peaceful town steeped in history and famous for its awe inspiring rock formations, orchards, vineyards and healing hot mineral springs. Overnight.

Day 16: drive to Stellenbosch
Today you drive to your accommodation in the winelands town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest settlement in South Africa.

Day 17 : Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch, founded in 1679, is well known for the gracious Cape Dutch thatched buildings and stately oak trees which line the streets. The Stellenbosch Wine Route is arguably the country´s most famous and the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin area includes over a hundred cellars - most of which are open to the public.
