Bain's Kloof

Country: South Africa
Region: Western Cape
Completed in 1853 the Bain's Kloof Pass between the Boland towns of Wellington and Ceres, is one of impressive rock formations and deep gorges. It is named after its engineer Andrew Geddes Bain and not his more famous son Thomas Bain who - quite successfully - followed in his footsteps.
