Southern Africa Travel Guide

Fear factor food?

Traditional African fare consists of many dishes. Some of whom might not sound very appealing to those unfamiliar with them. Some dishes that will leave you something to talk about during birthday parties are Mopani worms, smileys (boiled sheep head) and walkie-talkies (chicken head and legs). Be adventurous but don’t be stupid. It’s not advisable to consume these at street-side stalls, but rather pay a little bit extra at a decent African restaurant.

TESTIMONIAL

Our trip was absolutely awesome. We were treated like royalty and the kids had an absolute blast. Isolated quiet and yet so many things for the kids to do and explore. We had such a great time that the kids are harassing me when we can go back, and that is one thing I will do is go back.
